ELMER J. CLARK
Funeral services for Elmer J. Clark were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Waggener and Campbell chapel by Rev. R. F. Vick of the Methodist church. During the services Bill Carr sang two solo selections accompanied at the piano by Kenneth Ricketts. Friends acting as pall-bearers were A. H. Miller, R. R. Ricketts, Ed Handon, Walter S. Young, E. D. Brooner, and S. A. Lankhee. Interment was in the Conrad Memorial cemetery.
OBITUARY
Elmer Jarvis Clark was born at Grand Island, Nebraska, November 28, 1888, the third in a family of ten children born to Mr. and Mrs. Leander Clark. When he was still a child, the family moved to Kearney, Nebraska, where he received his education and grew to manhood. He was a member of the Methodist church.
When he was about 21 years of age he came to Montana, settling first in Conrad. Later, in 1920, he moved to Dillon where he made his home for about four years, and came to Kalispell in 1924. He has made his home in this community since that time.
His death came suddenly Monday evening, March 8, 1943, while he was engaged at work.
He leaves to mourn his passing his widow, Lillian, at the home; two sons, William R. Clark, member of the U.S. Air Forces at Norfolk, Virginia, and Wayne M. Clark of Marion; two daughters, Mrs. Harry McLouth of Somers and Mrs. Glen Ingrum of Kalispell; two sisters, Mrs. Walter Smith and Mrs. E. C. Niles of Portland; three brothers, W. R. Clark of Rupert, Idaho; Calvin Clark of Creston and Wayne M. Clark in Alaska; also four grandchildren.
He took great delight in reading the Bible and was a very staunch defender of it. He was a devoted husband and father.
