A native of Waynesburg, Kentucky, son of the late Olan G. and Carrie Mae Story, he was a retired employee of Uniroyal Goodrich Tire, a US Navy Korean War Veteran and a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are his son, Kent Singleton (Amparo) of Greer; two granddaughters, Amanda Gambrell (Austin) and Amber Singleton and one great-granddaughter, Grace Gambrell.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Grandview Cemetery, Maryville, Tennessee.
