Glen Gale Brown

Services for Glen Gale Brown, 73, of Moody, will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 6, at the Church of Christ in Moody with Pastor Echols officiating. The burial will immediately follow at Moffat Cemetery.

Mr. Brown passed away Friday, June 30, at a local hospital.

Glen was born January, 1944 in Bakersfield, CA to Jesse and Katie Brown. Glen was long time truck driver and traveled throughout the state of Texas. Along the way, he met and fell in love with his beloved wife, Janice.

Mr. Brown was a very talented carpenter. He built many pieces of furniture and other home goods such as bowls and cutting boards. Glen loved to share the things that he built and when you received a piece from him you knew it was a true gift of love. He also enjoyed leather crafting and fishing in his spare time. Family and friends also enjoyed the memories of taking trips to Shreveport and Lake Charles to gamble at the big casinos there. Most of all, Glen loved to be with his family and he loved them with all of his great big heart. Mr. Brown rarely shook hands, he is fondly remembered as a great ''hugger''. Glen Will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Glen was preceded in death by his parents; son, Glen Dale Brown; daughter, Shawna Gale Brown; granddaughter, Samantha Marie; sister, Matheal Lee Syme; brothers, William David Brown, and Samuel Edward Brown.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his loving wife, Janice Lynn Brown; sons, Kenneth Dewayne Brown, Glendon James Brown and wife Jennifer; daughter, Stephanie Lee Sosa and husband Joe; brother, Don O. Brown; grandsons, Aaron James Brown, Eric James Talbert, Kenneth Dewayne Waters Jr., Hunter Reise Brown; granddaughters, Shawna Ashley Brown, Savanah Lee Hand; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 5 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home of Belton.
