In 1940 she married Bill Cornelius and after only 17 years of marriage he passed away.
On February 18, 1961 in Evart, MI she married Franklyn T. Rohdy. Alice loved her family with a deep devotion. She especially adored her grandchildren and relished every moment they shared together.
Alice retired after many years of service from the Charlotte Public Schools where she worked in the cafeteria.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Charlotte for over 60 years. Alice also enjoyed doing word search puzzles and reading in her free time.
Alice is survived by her children: Debbie (Bryan) Reid of Charlotte, Judy (Mart) Wilbur of Georgetown, KY, Joyce (Dewey) Kunkel of Leslie, and Janice (Jerry) Vinson of Charlotte; 13 Grandchildren; and 21 Great Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Bill Cornelius in 1958; second husband Franklyn T. Rohdy in 2005; and her 11 older siblings.
Funeral services for Alice were held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Charlotte. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery, Bellevue.
