LOCAL PIONEER DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Andrew Hansen, 76, resident of Berkeley for the past 45 years, died at a local hospital yesterday following an illness of nearly seven years. Mr. Hansen was a native of Norway and had spent the greater part of his life as a seaman. His home here was at 2417 Fifth Street.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Anna Louise Hansen, four daughters, Mrs. Selma LaBere, Mrs. Theda Wilner, Mrs. Alma Johansson and Miss May Hansen, and our sons, Fred, William, Francis and Adolph Hansen.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at Berg's Funeral Parlors, 1936 University Avenue. Court Shellmound Lodge No. 17, F.A.O., of which Mr. Hansen was a member, will officiate. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.
