Linda Sue Whitson, 68 of Powell went home to be with her Lord on June 27, 2017.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and June Hughes; son, James Byrd, brothers, Curtis, James and Mark Hughes.
Linda is survived by her husband William (Jabo) of 50 years; son, Tony Byrd; daughters, Tammy Whitson and Tina Varner; grand children, Jacob, Breanna, Tony, Gracie, and Natalie.
Additional survivors include numerous nieces, nephews and her beloved pet "Little Man".
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 1 from 6-8 at Mynatt Funeral Home, 2829 Rennoc Road, Fountain City Chapel, Knoxville with service to follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Donnie Scarborough officiating.
Friends will meet at 1:45 pm Sunday at The Church of The Brethren Cemetery, 7430 Pelleaux Rd Knoxville, TN 37938 for the graveside services.
