Doris Lake
(July 12, 1929 - June 27, 2017) Doris Arthur Lake, 87, of Richmond, formerly of Lexington, passed away Tuesday, June 27th, 2017 at her home.

She was born July 12, 1929, at Winchester, Indiana, in Randolph County to the late Lester and Lenna Alexander Arthur. She and her husband were the owners and operators of Lake and Associates Real Estate Agency. Mrs. Lake was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Winchester, Indiana Chapter and a member of Beta Sigma Phi while in Lexington. She was an avid bridge player, loved tending to her rose garden and enjoyed crocheting, where she received such joy in crocheting little blankets for the children at the Shriners Hospital. Since living in Richmond, she attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

She was the widow of Clyde Lake, and was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Buck (Jim) of Richmond; three brothers, Noel Arthur (Joan), Lloyd Arthur (Zertha), and Stanley Arthur, all of Indiana; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service for Mrs. Lake will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, July 2, 2017, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Steve Lewis officiating. Visitation will be from 2 PM until service time at the funeral home.
