She was born in Richlands, Virginia, on December 21, 1944, one of nine children of the late Sanders and Macey (Richardson) Johnson.
Judy was a member of Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church. She was a wonderful homemaker and truly enjoyed being with her family and spoiling them with her cooking. Judy enjoyed going to garage sales and finding that great deal.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Stewart; one son, Mike (Sheryl) Stewart of Texas; two daughters, Kathy (Richard) Roach of Mount Gilead, and Deb Leppert of Galion; six grandchildren, Ron (Tonya) Yeatts, Christina Torres, Moses Torres, Charli (Shawn) Sutton, Derrick (Brooke) Ocker and Courtney Roach and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sanders Johnson and Macey Kegley; a grandson, Samuel Ocker; and eight brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 29, 2017, at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road. The funeral service will immediately follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. William Crank officiating. She will be laid to rest in Mansfield Memorial Park.
