She was born on April 12, 1928, in Monticello, Indiana to the late David and Ida (Gant) Timmons. Betty’s marriage was to Jack T. Alkire, who preceded her in death on January 5, 1999.
Betty has been a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. Betty loved giving people food, she was a wonderful kind-hearted person.
Betty is survived by her four children; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, Betty is preceded in death by 7 sisters and 2 brothers.
