Of 102 3rd Ave., died at 4.20 p.m. yesterday in the Altoona Hospital, after an extended illness. She was born April 7, 1892, at Scotchia, Blair County, a daughter of Samuel and Minnie (Carter) Baird, and on Aug. 19, 1914, she married Samuel M. Figart in the Simpson Methodish Church. Her husband died May 19, 1964. Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Ruth Boston of Altoona; eight neices and five nephews. Mrs. Figart was of the Methodist faith. Friends will be received at the Gilden-Barton Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. [Altoona Mirror; July 17, 1965]
