"WILLIAM G., born in Sangamon county, married Jan. 14, 1858, to Nancy Baker, She died, leaving two children, HENRY E. and MARY A.
William G. Miller married Sarah Hall. They had two children, WILLIAM M. and MINNIE M., both of whom died young.
W. G. Miller enlisted, Aug. 9, 1862, in Co. I, 73d Ill. Inf., for three years. He was wounded at Mission Ridge, Nov. 24, 1863, served to the end of the rebellion, and was honorably discharged, June 24, 1865, and resides three miles south of Loami, Sangamon county, Illinois."
