Survived by his wife, Della, at the home; 2 sons, Harold B. Surber, Houston, Texas, and James C. Surber, Spokane; 2 daughters, Mrs. Bernice Bell, Richmond, Calif., and Lorraine Suber, Walla Walla, WA.; mother, Mrs. Molly Surber, Spokane.
He had been a resident of the community for 42 years and was a retired locomotive engineer for the Great Northern railway. He was a member of the Hillyard local No. 571, Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen.
