Memorez Clark Rackley, 39, and her son, Jase Dylan Rackley, 6, died Tuesday, June 6, 2017, in a tragic act of violence.

Memorez was born Oct. 10, 1977, in Payson, Utah, to Esther Chacon Beardall and Jack Kelly Clark. On Aug. 25, 2001, she married Dustin Allen Rackley in Salt Lake City, Utah. They are the parents of three sons: Baelyn Allen Rackley, 14; Myles Clark Rackley, 11; and Jase.

Raised in Springville, Utah, Memorez attended Springville High School, where she was a member of the drill and dance teams. She worked for two decades at Zions Bank, eventually serving as an executive loan officer and vice president of Home Financing. She was active and fit and loved spending time with her many friends, cooking from scratch and working out at the gym. The most important thing in her life, and her top priority, was her three boys. She spent hours with her sons, supporting them in school and their many activities.

Jase was born Nov. 2, 2010, in Murray, Utah. Jase was smart and active and had a contagious smile. He could always make everyone around him laugh. He loved Minecraft, being with his brothers, going to work with his dad, and playing video games. Having just completed kindergarten, he was excited to begin first grade at Brookwood Elementary School in Sandy, Utah.

Memorez and Jase enjoyed annual vacations to Bear Lake where the family would water ski, tube and wakeboard. Spending hours on the lake as a family was a common way for them to spend a sunny afternoon.

Memorez and Jase are survived by their family: Dustin, Baelyn and Myles; Memorez’s parents: Esther Chacon (Kevin) Beardall and Jack Kelly Clark; Dustin’s parents: Vicky Rackley and Mark (Cori) Rackley; Memorez’s brother, Travis Bala Clark; Dustin’s brother Kevin Howa; Jase’s cousins and many, many friends. They are preceded in death by Dustin’s brother, Jason Anthony Rackley, and Jase’s cousin, Declan.

Mem and Jase, we all miss you both so much. Thank you for your love, strength and amazing spirits. We know you will take good care of each other. Please give Declan and Jason a big hug from us and pass along our love to all with whom you are now reunited.

The family would like to thank the community that has reached out to them in this difficult time, the good Samaritans and first responders who rushed to help them and the medical professionals at Primary Children’s Hospital.
