Son of Zachariah McPherson and first wife, Cynthia Neely, he was 26 years old, a laborer, died from consumption/tuberculosis and was buried in Sewickley Feb 8th, 1880, office confirms he was the son of Zack, he is in the same plot as Zachariah and second wife, Alice, who have stones, and his mother, who does not. In 1870, when he was 17, an elderly relative, Cynthia McPherson, an invalid with consumption/TB, was living with the family, as contagious diseases were not yet understood, it is probable he became infected at that time.
