Peggy was born February 29, 1928, in Prophetstown the daughter of Clayton and Adelaide (Cox) Marshall. She married Richard J. Lesniewski on November 16, 1946 in Prophetstown. He preceded her in death on September 20, 1990. She was employed at General Electric for 25 years retiring in 1991 and was member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling.
Survivors include one daughter, Debra (James) Pontnack of Mt. Morris; five sons, Richard (Betty) Lesniewski of Byron, David (Karlyn) Lesniewski of Rockford, Brad Lesniewski of Prophetstown, Daniel Lesniewski of Sterling and Curtis (Judy) Lesniewski of Yukon, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; and 6 step great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one brother, Raymond Marshall; one half sister, Julie; and two daughters-in-law, Susan Lesniewski and Mary Lesniewski.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 10 – 11:00 AM at St. Catherine Catholic Church in Prophetstown. Celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the church. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery in Prophetstown.
A memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice and Home in Oregon.
