SALTVILLE, Va. Annie Lee "Jack" Burgess, age 88, joined her Heavenly Father and family Sunday morning June 18, 2017, from her home. To many work friends she was known as Annie, to family as "Jack", to siblings as Siater and most favored as "Granny" to her grandchildren. Annie was a seamstress by trade, a home maker and the love of Walter's life. She taught Love-Christ and moral living to all she was in contact with, and missed by all. Annie was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Burgess; parents, Morgan and Pansy McCready; grandson, Kody Allen Burgess; and brother-in-law, Bill Olinger She is survived by two sons, Danny and Karen Burgess of Jonesboro, Tenn. and Terry Burgess and special friend, Susie Everhart of Saltville; brother, Arnold and Peggy McCready; sisters, Eula and Stoney Jackson and Gloria and Ernie Blevins; grandchildren, Chad Burgess and Alecia, Tonya Wilcox, Morgan Burgess and fianc‚, Nathanlel Henley, Kory Burgess and Cara; great grandchildren, Caitlyn Rodefer, Corban Rodefer, Madison Burgess, Mason Burgess, and Hadliegh Burgess; her fury faithful companions who kept constant watch over her, Phillip, Harley, Rowdy and Kiki. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Henderson Funeral Home with Terry Burgess and the Rev. Steve McCready officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Rose Cemetery.
