Funeral Services will be 7 p.m. Thursday, November 4, 1993, at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Meyer will officiate with burial in the Knollwood Memorial Gardens, Town of Kossuth.
He was born May 30, 1919, in Manitowoc, Wis., son of the late Michael and Lillian Wegforth Bartleme. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1937. He then worked for 5 years at the Manitowoc Ship Yards until he enlisted in the United States Army, then serving overseas during World War II. Upon returning to Manitowoc after the war he became employed with Northwestern Asbestos Cork and Insulation Company for 12 years and then later he was involved with construction work for various contractor until he retired in 1981. He married Helen Mraz on Jne 11, 1955, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc.
Survivors include his wife, Helen; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Marcus Bartleme, Houston, Texas, Neal and Heidi Bartleme, Bloomington, Minn.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Mae and Joseph White, Harker Heights, Texas, Ann Marie and Patrick Delsman, Manitowoc, Wis.; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Gordon and Lorraine Bartleme, Manitowoc, Glen and Geraldine Bartleme, Manitowoc, Jack and Avis Bartleme, Watertown, Wis., Robert and Joanne Bartleme, Manitowoc; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Miss Ethel Bartleme, Manitowoc, Carol and Clarice Carey, Manitowoc, Kathryn and Robert Richardt, Manitowoc, Betty Leannah, Manitowoc, Marilyn and Kenneth Oestrich, Fond du Lac, Wis.; four grandchildren; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Thursday from 5 p.m. until the time of services at 7 p.m.
