Obituary - Smithfield--Mrs. Charlotta Downs Lauder, 82, widow of James Lauder, died Thursday of heart trouble after a long illness.

She was born September 17, 1850, in Cottonwood, Salt Lake county, a daughter of James A. and Mary Ann Greathouse Downs. She had resided here since 1860. Her husband died in 1896.

She is survived by three daughters and one son: Mrs. Lottie L. Peterson, Houston, Idaho; James M. Lauder, Rigby, Idaho; Mrs. Lulu Webb, Great Falls, Mont.; Mrs. George E. Sorenson, Smithfield; one brother, William Downs, address unknown; one sister, Mrs. William Clark, LaPoint; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are being made by the Lindquist & Sons mortuary and services probably will be conducted Monday in the Smithfield L. D. S. Third ward chapel, with burial in Smithfield City cemetery.
