Seventeen year old Indian school boy, died from pulmonary tuberculosis. Family was living at the Indian Village in Brown Township, Manistee County. John Sam's death certificate reports place of burial as Fountain. Fountain Cemetery assumed as final resting place for John Sam, and his younger sister Eunice (who died five days later from diphtheria). John and Eunice were the children of George and Maggie (Pete) Sam.
