Born March 6, 1951 to the late Douglas and Emma Bertram, he was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, George Bertram, Johnny Bertram; nephew, Jack Allen Bertram; and sister-in-law, Sheila Bertram.
He is survived by son, Douglas (Jessica) Bertram of Elgin; daughter, Tonya (Allen) Crabtree of Oneida; grandchildren, Haley and Ashlyn Bertram, Kimberly, Dustin, and Hailey Crabtree; brothers, Marshall Bertram of Robbins, Leonard (Thelma) Bertram of Robbins, Jackie (Azel) Bertram of Clarkston, Michigan, Dickie (Janie) Bertram of Robbins, Terry (Jacquetta) Bertram of Rugby, and Carl (Judy) Jones of Robbins; sisters, Judy (Norman) Coats of Robbins, Sue (Paul) Bauswell of Robbins, Ann (Larry) Goodman of Oneida; sister-in-laws, Carol Bertram of Rugby, Tennessee and Wilma Bertram of Robbins; special friends, Betty Rector, James Brewster, and Patrick Jones; several nieces, nephews, and a host of relatives and friends.
Friends may visit with the Bertram family on Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 12 noon until time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of West-Murley Funeral Home.
Burial will follow in the Laurel Dale Cemetery in Rugby. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
