Louis Harrison Parberry, Jr. age 90 passed away peacefully on January 17th, 2008 at his home. Dad was born in Bellingham to Josephine and Louis Parberry on April 17, 1917 and graduated from Whatcom High School in 1936. He worked with his Father Louis, Sr. in the family junk business before serving as a medic in the Army Air Force in World War II. Upon his return to Bellingham, he joined his father in business at Parberry Iron and Metal, and established what is now the Northwest Recycling Company. Dad married Angela Sue Cavallini on December 29, 1950 and together they raised their family of six children. He is survived by daughter Carol, sons Jack, Louis III and Brian and wife Lisa of Bellingham; son Brad of San Francisco, California; and daughter Janice of Greenwich, Connecticut. Also surviving are his brother Gordon and sister Geraldine Adema of Bellingham. Grandchildren Marty Kuljis and wife Sara and Louie Kuljis and wife Heidi of Ferndale, Selena Steele of Michigan, Brandi Parberry of Hawaii, Erin, Evan, and Danielle Parberry of Bellingham, and Derek Turner of Bellingham. Great-Grandchildren Andrew and Emily Kuljis of Ferndale and Jaxon Kuljis of Ferndale. Dad was preceded in his passing by his parents Josephine and Louis, and sisters Maxine Parberry and Lorraine Urbick. Dad played golf his entire life and was a fan of most sports. He also loved children and helping others, especially those in need in Whatcom County. We will miss you Dad and remember you always as a loving and caring father and a devoted husband to Mom. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 1:00PM at Church of the Assumption, 2116 Cornwall Ave., Bellingham. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation, 800 East Chestnut St., Bellingham, WA 98225 or the Whatcom County Boys and Girls Club, 1715 Kentucky St., Bellingham, WA 98229.
