She was born November 11, 1935 to the late Fred Dickerson Pilson and Pearlie Massey.
She was also preceded by her husband, Leslie Carlton Young and her brother Curtis Dickerson Pilson.
She is survived by her children, Carlton Lee Young (Meghan) and Leisa Payne (Mike); grandchildren, Jayson, Amy, Charla, Joshua Thomason and Marylei Applegate; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Joshua II, David, Ember Thomason and Evan Miller; sister Judy Carol Baylor (George).
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 18th 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Roselawn Chapel Funeral Home (103 Clearview Dr, Martinsville, VA 24112).
