Kert Porter Carroll was reunited with his eternal companion on Saturday, June 10, 2017. He was born in Blanding, Utah on March 13, 1922 to Frederick and Mabel Carroll. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1940. Kert served his country from November 1940 to June 1945 during World War II as part of an Army Field Artillery Unit. He married his sweetheart and eternal companion, LuDean Hawes Carroll, on January 30, 1946. They were married for 70 years and raised 6 Children.
Kert worked as a postal employee until he retired. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served in many positions and was a devoted member. He and his wife were ordinance workers in the Ogden Temple and later served a temple mission in Denver.
He loved to camp, fish, travel, and spend time with his family.
He is survived by his children: Dennis (Debbie) Carroll, Glenn (Susan) Carroll, Kathy (Phil) Koldewyn, LuAnn (Craig) Hadley, LaMonte (deceased) (Sally) Carroll, and Wes (Jacque) Carroll; 36 grandchildren; and 90 great-grandchildren. Also, his sisters; Geraldine Grill and Iris Petersen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, at Pleasant View 4th Ward, 3035 N 1325 W, Pleasant View. A viewing will be held at the church from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, June 16, 2017, and again prior to services at 9:30 to 10:40 a.m.
