                         DEATHS
BIERLY—Mrs. Emma S. Bierly, 83, died at the home of her daughter in Omaha Sunday, December 6, 1964. A former resident of Hiawatha, Mrs. Bierly had made her home in Omaha for the past five years. Her husband, Clyde Bierly, died in 1958. She is survived by two sons, Clyde E. Bierly, Jr., of Omaha, and Kenneth C. Bierly of Lincoln, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Adams of Omaha and Mrs. Mary E. Hopper of Rio Linda, Calif.; two brothers; one sister; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Thursday afternoon, December 10, with burial in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.

                         OBITUARY
BIERLY—Emily Sarah Martin, daughter of James and Elizabeth Martin, was born near Brownsville, Ill., November 7, 1881. In this community she spent her childhood days and united with the United Presbyterian Church at the age of 13. After the death of her parents she finished her education and taught two terms of school near her home before moving to Madison, Ill., to be with her brothers and sister. Due to ill health, she moved to Denver, Colo., where she met and married Clyde E. Bierly. To this union was born three children, two daughters and a son. She was a devoted mother to a stepson, Kenneth C. Bierly. In 1915, she came with her husband to Kansas and settled near Hiawatha where they reared their family and united with the Evangelical Church. She was a loving mother dedicated to her family, and faithful to her church. After the death of her husband in 1958, Mrs. Bierly made her home with a daughter in Omaha, Nebr. She passed away Sunday, December 6, after a lingering illness. Preceding her in death were a sister and two brothers. She is survived by two sons, Clyde E. Bierly, Jr., of Omaha, and Kenneth C. Bierly of Lincoln, Calif.; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Adams of Omaha and Mrs. Mary E. Hopper of Rio Linda, Calif.; two brothers; one sister; nine grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.
