Marjorie Ellen (Baune) Kinns passed away on April 4, 2006 in Salem from complications of pneumonia. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and confidante.

She was the daughter of Christopher Henry Joseph Baune and Juanita Elizabeth (Hagenauer) Baune, born November 5, 1940 in Hubbard, Oregon. She grew up in various communities around the Willamette Valley, Alsea and Beaver on the Oregon Coast.

After marriage, the family lived in Salem, Portland, Lincoln City, Gold Beach and eventually moved back to Salem where she had lived for the last 40 years.

She married James Jay Kinns on September 26, 1959 and raised a son, Christopher and a daughter, Tamera, along with several foster children that lived with them over the years.

She was involved with the children and numerous school activities over the years. She and the family enjoyed camping at various locations around the state even though she enjoyed the coast more than any other part of Oregon. Many delightful times were spent crabbing in the bays or crawfishing along various streams.

Over the years, Marge loved to work in her yard, and had sewn clothes for herself and others, including Tamera's wedding dress. In the later years she enjoyed numerous hobbies and for the last several years had been working to scrapbook pictures of her life, family and many friends.

She is survived by Jim, her husband of 46 years; son, Christopher of Ontario; daughter, Tamera Burleson and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jennifer, and Thomas of Vancouver, Wash.; along with two other grandchildren, Mellisa and April, and two great-grandchildren who live in Salem. She is survived by three brothers, Richard, Dennis and Ronald Baune and four sisters, Rita Gorman, Shirley Groshong, Janet Fleming, and Susan Vanderzanden.
