Mrs. Rufus Bolivar 1934

The remains of the late Mrs. Rufus Bolivar, aged 72 years, of Medford, Mass.
were brought here on Tuesday evening and the funeral service was held at the
Epworth United Church Wednesday morning. Rev. Colin MacRae officiated.
Interment was made at Lakeside Cemetery. Her husband died October 1, 1913.
Mr. Bolivar was the victim of a stroke while working on the barn roof of
Albert Rhodenizer, Cookville and fell to the ground dead. The late Mrs.
Bolivar was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus Pattereson, Nictaux.
Until thirteen years ago Mrs. Bolivar lived at New Germany, where she had
a host of friends and was much beloved and respected because of her devotion
to the church and her kindly deeds. Surviving are nine children- three
sons, Joseph, Crosburn and Roscoe, Medford, Mass.; six daughters, Mrs.
Martha Hewson, Lynn, Mass.; Mrs. Cora Grant, Medford, Mass.; Mrs. Etoile
Spurr, Lynn, Mass.; Mrs. Maude Morton, Springfield, Mass.; Mrs. Elizabeth
Connell, Somerville, Mass.; Miss Helen Bolivar, Lynn, Mass.; and eight
grandchildren. Six children accompanied the remains to New Germany.
