Albannus was a Private Company A, 51st PA Inf. Enlisted at Norristown, PA on August 18, 1862. He was born in Roxborough, Philadelphia County, PA on July 21, 1829 and died September 20, 1913. He had blue eyes, dark hair, dark complexion, height 5 ft 5 ½ inches. His occupation - Blacksmith. He was wounded, gunshot to left shoulder, in Battle at Fredericksburg, VA on December 13, 1862 and was sent to hospital at Washington, DC. He as discharged March 26, 1863 for disability. The gunshot through left shoulder destroying the rise of the arm from the elbow to the shoulder.

Albannus was married on March 6, 1853 to Louisa Butcher by Rev. Jacob Medtart.
At time of his death he and his wife resided with their daughter and son-in-law Ella and Herman Hampton in East Norriton Township, PA.
