YAKIMA - Alvin R. "Big Al" Tibbett at the age of 66 with his family by his side went to rest with his Lord and Savior, February 16, 2007 at his home in Yakima, WA. He was born October 19, 1940 in Branson, MO. He lived in Oklahoma, moved to Wapato and then to Selah, WA. He attended, and graduated from the West Valley High School, then continued his education with 2 years of general college studies. He served 4 years in the U.S. Air Force as a Paramedic.

Al sealed his union with his loving wife Margaret "Alice" Nagle in 1968 at the Salt Lake Temple.

He worked for 32 years at Boise Cascade Corporation as a Millwright/Welder, until at the age of 58 he retired due to illness.

Al was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was an avid reader, a good freehand artist, loved country music and played the guitar. He enjoyed fishing with his sons who were the pride of his life, loved his daughters-in-law and called them his "baby girls" and was happiest with a lap full of grandchildren. He will always be loved and greatly missed by family, friends and acquaintances.

Al is survived by his wife of 39 years, Margaret "Alice" Tibbett, sons, David, Jeffery, Mark (Nolena), Matthew (Cindy), Peter (Jewel) and Bill (Hlumela) Tibbett and Tom (Lisa) Nagle. 26 Grandchildren, 7 Great-Grandchildren. Brothers; Charles (Dawn), Daniel Tibbett and Sisters, Margie Epperson, Paula Bayliff and Angie (Mike) Johnson, Father and Mother-in-law, William and Elaine Nagle.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lorene Tibbett, daughter, Tamera Lynn and brother, David.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 23 at Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday, February 24, 2007 at the Englewood Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Interment to follow at West Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Missionary Fund, in care of Langevin-Mussetter Funeral Home.
