Jimmy James 77, died at the NMMC in Tupelo after a sudden illness. He was born March 5, 1940 to the late W.E. and Grace Morris James. He was a lifelong member of the Parker’s Chapel Baptist Church. He was a retired employee of Stone Container and a retired truck driver. He enjoyed camping, fishing, yard work and his cigars. He was a former member of the MS National Guard. He dearly Loved his Family.
Services will be held Wednesday 2:00 pm at Waters Funeral Home with Bro. Ray Guin officiating with burial in the Kirkville Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years Daphenia Underwood James, Baldwyn, (2) sons, Marty James, Baldwyn, Michael James (Sheila), Baldwyn, grandchildren, Camellia Stinson (Ellis), Hoby James and Hana Grace James, great grandchildren, Dawson Tigner, Logan Stinson and Mia Stinson, in laws Forest Underwood, Carolyn Martin (Jimmy) and Linda James.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bro. Herman James and Robert James, sisters, Vivian Surratt and Mildred Humphres.
Pallbearers Eddie James, Ricky James, Tommy Surratt, Bobby Joe Surratt, William Langston and Ricky Cooper.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5 pm till 8 pm at Waters Funeral Home.
