Chocowinity, N.C. - A memorial service was held July 10, 1993 for Fred West Jr., 70 of Old Newbern Highway, who died July 7th, 1993 at Beaufort County Hospital in Washington.
Mr West was born in Cobleskill, NY and also lived in Florida before coming to Chocowinity.
Mr. West was a WWII Army Vet and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2472 Harry E Crosby in Kenmore, NY.
Survivors include his wife Catherine Hagen West whom he married on June 4, 1949; two sons, Fred C West of Gainesville, Florida and Michael John West of Altamont, NY; two sisters, Grace W Daring of Schoharie and Maude W Busing of Gardnersville, NY and four grandchildren.
