Erasmo emigrated to America alone, arriving aboard the ship, Perugia, in 1904. He joined his brother, Gerardo, in Brooklyn. He was naturalized in 1910. He met and married Nicolina Mastantuono on September 14, 1912, in New York City, New York. They had six children during their marriage. He died in 1961 at the age of 74.
