Wally married his beloved wife Jackie in June of 1955 and celebrated 50 years of marriage before her passing.
He is survived by their three children, Mike, Bill (Kim) and Karen and his two granddaughters Brittany and Karli.
Wally was born on November 1, 1933 in Chicago and passed away on Monday, May 29, 2017 at JourneyCare in Barrington surrounded by his family and friends.
He was the owner and operator of Walman Construction for close to 40 years. He was a well-liked and respected businessman.
Wally enjoyed life with his family and friends. His favorite activities were hunting, boating, snowmobiling, bowling and visiting the casinos. Some of his proudest moments were watching his granddaughters participating in choral concerts, sporting events and graduation ceremonies.
He served in the Army and was a member of the Lions Club, VFW and Chamber of Commerce.
Wally will be deeply missed by his immediate and extended family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2017, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Kisselburg-Wauconda Funeral Home, 235 N. Main St., Wauconda. Funeral services will begin on Friday, June 2, with prayers at the funeral home at 10:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 348 W. Mill St., Wauconda. Interment will be in Wauconda Cemetery.
