Daughter of John Wade and Ruth Driggers Rowell. Lucille married Paul Fowler on January 27, 1963.

Mrs. Lucille Rowell Fowler, 75, widow of Paul Fowler, died Sunday, May 28, 2017, at her home surrounded by her family after an illness.

Mrs. Fowler was born April 20, 1942, in Horry County, a daughter of the late Johnny Wade Rowell and late Ruth Driggers Rowell. She was a homemaker and had retired from Anvil Knitwear. Mrs. Fowler was a member Woodlawn Park Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Fowler are three sons, Ricky Fowler of Nichols, Michael Fowler of Mullins and Doug Fowler of Mullins; two brothers, Buddy (Marie) Rowell of Aynor and Eddie (Sharon) Rowell of Aynor; three sisters, Mary Lou Perritt of Aynor, Shirley (Larry) Revels of Fork and Ruby (James) Barrineau of Mullins; 6 grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Fowler was predeceased by two brothers, Leverne Rowell and Dan Rowell and two sisters, Bonnie Williams and Thelma Fowler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 1 at Woodlawn Baptist Church, with Rev. Glenn Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
