GALIVANTS FERRY - Thelma Marie Rowell Fowler, 58, wife of Grayland Fowler, died Sunday, October 7, 2012 at her home.

Thelma was born June 26, 1954 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Johnny Wade Rowell and the late Ruth Driggers Rowell. She was a homemaker.

Surviving Thelma in addition to her husband of the home are three daughters, Lora Ann Sanders of Aynor, Crystal De La Cruz of Mullins and Mary Stroud of Marion; four sisters, Lucille Fowler of Mullins, Mary Lou Perritt of Mullins, Ruby Barrineau of Mullins and Shirley Revels of Mullins; three brothers, Buddy Rowell of Conway, Dan Rowell of Nichols and Eddie Rowell of Galivants Ferry; and 8 grandchildren.

Thelma was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie R. Williamson and a brother, Lavern Rowell.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 9, at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Huggins officiating. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery in Nichols.
