Mrs. Young retired as a school teacher from the Richmond County Board of Education with over 20 years of service. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Augusta.
Family members include her sons: Harper Kyle Young (Coni) of Aiken, SC and J. Kent Young (Kathryn); daughter: Kathy Y. Hall, both of Augusta, GA; grandchildren: Kristen Levinsohn, Greg Young, Ashlyn Ward, Katelyn Young, Cameron Young, Julia Simmons, Heather Joy, Karla Cribbs, Jacob Miskelly, Denise Gibson, Ashleigh Ringus, and Paul C. Miskelly; 28 great grandchildren and brother: Arnold Ray Liles (Sarah) of Monroe, LA.
Funeral services were held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Patti Fowler officiating. Burial followed in Westover Memorial Park.
