Marjorie Louise Ekstrom, age 81 of Belleville, Kansas passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at her home. She was born on April 25, 1936, in Clyde, Kansas to Eunice and Levi Carver.

Marge was the oldest of eight children. Marge graduated from Belleville high School with the Class of 1954. She was united in marriage to Delbert D Ekstrom on January 12, 1956 and to this union five children were born: Debra, Don, Doug Dynette, and Derek.

Marge was a telephone operator for SWB and held different positions with Republic County where she retired. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed gardening and spent many hours crocheting and embroidering, playing cards, a member of the Red Hats, and a member of Central Christian Church. Marge loved spending time with her family and friends.

She will be forever remembered by her children, Debra and Kenny Sells, Don and Jamie Ekstrom, Doug and Kathleen Ekstrom, Dynette and Brian White, and Derek Ekstrom; 14 grandkids and 11 great grandkids; siblings, Ivan & Sandy Carver, Steven & Maxine Carver, Curtis & Mickey Carver, Deanna & Leonard Jeardoe, and Joe Carver; Aunt Betty Coupal; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.

Marge was preceded in death by husband Delbert, parents, and brothers Larry and Paul Carver.

Funeral services will be held 10:30 A.M. Saturday, June 3, 2017 with Pastor Jeremy Wittwer officiating at the Central Christian Church located at 2329 O Street, Belleville. Visitation will be 1pm to 8pm Friday with family greeting friends 6pm to 8pm at Tibbetts-Fischer funeral home located at 1104 20th St, Belleville.

Committal services at the Belleville Cemetery where she will be laid to rest.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting memorials to the Golden Belle Haven of Belleville. Tibbetts-Fischer Funeral Home, Belleville, Kansas, assisted the Ekstrom family with these arrangements.
