Donald (Bruce) Capps, 81, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Aston Park Health Care in Asheville, NC.
Bruce is preceded in death by his father, Roy R Capps; mother, Mae Buckner Capps; brothers: Gerald and Mike.
Bruce worked for the US Postal service for 35 years in Asheville. He loved playing his steel guitar. Bruce loved his family and everyone he met. He was a kind, gentle, and quiet man.
Surviving Bruce is his loving wife of 46 years, Sandra Worley Capps; sons: Derek N. Capps and wife Jeannette of Asheville, Gregory Z Capps of Asheville, Leslie Bruce Capps Arter of L.A. California; siblings: June Spivey of Winter Park, FL, Gene Capps and wife Sue of Candler, NC, Roger Capps and wife Janice of Asheville, NC, Jeannette Byrd of Douglasville, GA, Ray Capps and wife Irene of Temple, GA; grandchildren: Billy Letke of Asheville, NC, Heather Capps and fiance Matt Frank of Asheville, Danielynn Arter of NY,NY; great granddaughter, Paige Letke, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Ridgeway Baptist Church in Candler, NC. Pastor Jackie Collins will be officiating.
