"A very pretty wedding was solemnized, Wednesday afternoon, June 29, at four p.m., at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Fero, when their daughter, Miss Dorothy M. Fero, became the bride of Earl Baxter of Sloansville. The Rev. Charles B. McDuffee of Cliftondale, Mass., an uncle of the bride, performed the ceremony assisted by the Rev. Timothy Meek of Hyndsville, the ring service being used. Miss Winifred Baxter, a sister of the bridegroom, acted as bridesmaid, and Lloyd Baxter, a brother, was best man. Mrs. Winfield McDuffee, an aunt of the bride, played the wedding march. The bride wore a gown of white organdie, hand embroidered, with a tulle veil caught up with white sweet peas ... The bride is a graduate of Cobleskill High School and the Teachers' Training Class. She has been engaged as school teacher the last three years. The bridegroom is a graduate of the Cobleskill High School and of the Albany Business College. He is interested in the automobile business at Sloansville. Mr. and Mrs. Baxter left in a gaily bedecked auto for the western part of the state where they will spend some time camping on Kueka Lake. On their return they will reside in Sloansville. Mr. and Mrs. Baxter are well known and popular young people who have the good wishes of a large circle of friends." [The Cobleskill Index (Cobleskill, NY), Thurs., June 30, 1921, Page 4]
