Born March 18, 1930 in Springfield Twp., Huntingdon Co., PA, he was a son of the late Guard & Olive (Fernberg) Anderson. He was united in marriage to the former Dorcas Runk on November 3, 1949. Mrs. Anderson preceded in death July 27, 2008.
He is survived by three children, Florine Chilcote and husband Russell of St. Thomas, PA, Linda Morgan and husband Ramon of Blacklog Valley Road, Orbisonia, PA and Leonard Anderson and wife Bonita of Three Springs, PA, three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandson, Michael Anderson, five brothers and five sisters.
Mr. Anderson attended the Pentecostal Freedom Church, Mt. Union, PA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed attending church and listening to bluegrass gospel music.
He retired from Letterkenny Army Depot, Chambersburg, PA. Prior to that, he was a dairy farmer, construction worker and a self employed truck driver.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 22, 2017 at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, 565 Ridgley St., Orbisonia, PA with Rev. Ramon Morgan officiating. Interment will be made at Walnut Grove Cemetery, RD, Three Springs, PA. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Monday.
