Henry Holtsclaw (aka William Henry) Rector was born to Thompson B Rector and Nancy Caynor-Rector.

Henry married Lillie Margaret Virginia Hall on 15 Jan 1877 in the District of Columbia and settled in Fauqueir County, Virginia and they had at least the following four children before he died in 1888:

John Rector (abt Dec 1877), Nancy E Rector (abt Mar 1880), Henry Rector (1882-1954) and Founton L Rector (1884-1888) and the two youngest are buried in Blackwell Cemetery. Note: Henry and his youngest son died in 1888. It is noticed that there were 3 or more deaths whom are buried in the Blackwell Cemetery that died in 1888 (perhaps an epidemic?).

After Henry died, his wife Lillie re-married to James Polk King on May 12, 1893. Lillie is buried next to her 2nd husband in Highgrove Cemetery in Bastrop, Texas.

Note for William Henry Rector: Family records and census records indicate he was really born likely 1857 versus 1859. He was living in the 1880 Rappahannock, Fauqier County, Virginia Census with his parents and his wife and two of his children (John and Nancy E Rector; Nancy was just 2 months old). This 1880 census shows Henry and his wife Lillie both born in 1857 (and Lillie's headstone has the correct birth year of 1857). Nancy Caynor Rector died in 1880 and is buried in Blackwell Cemtery which would indicate that Thompson B Rector and wife Nancy Caynor-Rector migrated from VA to TX after the 1880 Census (typically taken in June) and before year end.

Apparently the family moved from Rappahannock, Fauquier County, Virginia to Caldwell county sometime after the 1880 census, as Henry, his parents, and at least two of his children are buried in Blackwell Cemetery.

It appears the headstone with dates was likely added after the burial vault and maybe whomever put the dates may have had the wrong brith year (1859 versus 1857).

Update from another RECTOR researcher received Nov 10, 2014 (excerpt below):

: Henry Rector #17970457
I've been tracing the lineage of Henry and Lillie's son, John Thompson Rector. John's death cert listed his father's initials as H.H. I pursued this clue and discovered a marriage license for Lillie and Henry in District of Columbia, which is just a small ways from Fauquier County, VA.
I copied this directly from the record:
