Funeral Services for Mrs. Sarah Black Guess, 75, of Paris Avenue, North Augusta, SC, who died March 1, 2006, will be conducted Friday morning at 10 o'clock from Grace United Methodist Church. Dr. James C. Adams officiating. Interment in Double Pond Baptist Church Cemetery, Blackville, SC.
Mrs. Guess was a native of Bamberg County, SC, having made North Augusta her home for the past 35 years. She was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, a graduate of Denmark High School and Columbia Commercial College and employed at Dillard's National Hills for 23 years. She was a daughter of the late Faucia Virginia Still and Lloyd Herman Black and sister of the late Herman Black.
The family expresses that Mrs. Guess was a wonderful Mother, Sister and brought joy to all who knew her.
Survivors include two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Donna Guess, Edgefield and Craig Guess, North Augusta; a daughter and son-in-law, Twila and Sam Kingsmore, Greenville, SC; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Pat and Janice Black, Hilda, SC and Tommy and Sheila Black, Barnwell, SC; a sister and brother-in-law, Arie and Buck Guess, Blackville, SC; a sister-in-law, Thelma Black, Barnwell, SC; five grandchildren, Ashley Kingsmore, Robbie Guess, Carolyn Barrett Guess, Whit Guess, and Will Guess.
