Mrs. Blanche Popline, 77, of 405 Selwyn Ave., Strabane died June 22, 1959 at 3:20 a.m. in the Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. She had been ill for some time, seriously for one week.
The deceased was born Sept. 29, 1881 and had lived in the Strabane-Canonsburg district for 50 years. She was a member of St. Genevieve's R. C Church Christian Mothers and Holy Rosary Society of the church, Polish Roman Catholic Union of Canonsburg and St. Joseph's R. C. Lodge, Canonsburg.
Her husband Stanley died Jan. 19, 1959.
Survivors include the following children: Sophia. wife of Jacob Filius, Canonsburg; Genevieve, wife of William McNally, Crafton; Capt. Violet M. Popline, Army Nurses Corps, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen, Md.; Adam Popline and Miss Matilda Popline, both at home, four grandchildren; two brothers: Stanley Raginski, White Plains, N. Y. and Frank Baginski, New York City.
Friends are being received at the John F. Yoney Funeral Home after 7 o'clock this evening. Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Thursday at 8:30 a.m. followed by a Solemn Requiem Mass at 9 a.m. in St. Genevieve's R. C. Church with the Rev. E. R. Szelong as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.
