Stanley Popline, 80, 465 Selwyr Ave., Strabane, Pa., former employee of Standard Tin Plate Co.. died Sunday, Jan. 19, 1958, at 10:05 p.m., at the Canonsburg General Hospital. He had been ill since Dec. 3, 1957.
Born May 8, 1877, and lived in the district for the past 50 years A member of St. Genevieve's R. C. Church; St. Joseph's Lodge ant the White Eagles Lodge, of Canonsburg.
Surviving are his wife, Bernice Baginski Popline and the following children: Sophia J., wife of Jacob Filius, Canonsburg; Genevieve, wife of William McNally, Crafton; Capt. Violet M. Popline, Brooks Army Hospital, Fort Sam Houston, Tex.; Adam Popline and Matilda at home; four grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the John F. Yoney Funeral Home, after I p.m., this evening. Funeral services will be held Thursday, at 8:30 a.m., from the Yoney Funeral Home, followed by Requiem High Mass at 9 a.m., at St. Genevieve's R.C. Church, The Rev. E. R. Szelong officiating. Burial in the St. Patrick's Cemetery.
