James Robbie Edgar, 72, passed away on May 24, 2017 in Midwest City, OK. J.R. was born on October 8, 1944 in Princeton, Texas to Charles Cleo and Wanda Lee (Fitch) Edgar.
He joined and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He enjoyed reading a good book, playing billiards and darts, and loved a competitive game of golf. He was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and enjoyed taking a spin around town on his Can Am Trike. J.R. was a proud veteran, Shriner and a 32nd Degree Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jackie Starr, sister, Della Simpson and step-son, Michael Hollingshad. Survivors include his loving wife, Pamela; children, Beverly Reynolds and husband, Paul, James Edgar and wife, Esther, Carolyne Salcido, Patrick Edgar and wife, Yvette, Cheryl Hamby and husband, Philip, and Jeffrey Edgar and wife, Kierra; step-daughter, Becky Joslin and husband, Jeffery; 21 grandchildren; one, great-grandchild; sister, Patricia Collins and husband, Richard; and his beloved, rescue dog, Mouse.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at the Sunny Lane Funeral Home and Cemetery Chapel with interment and military honors to follow immediately after.
