Willie “Tommie” Ophelia Patton, age 90, of Trenton, GA went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Tommie was a longstanding member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church who remained faithful and active until her death. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and church family.
Preceded in death by her husband W.D. Patton; 8 brothers and sisters.
Surviving include her daughter Sandra (Redgie) Carter of East Ridge, TN; daughter Janet Patton of Rocky Face, GA; son Douglas (Diane) Patton of Lookout Valley, TN; son Gene (Robyn) Patton of Knoxville, TN; 6 grandchildren Emily (Alastair) Gardner, Dana (Jason) Garrett, Tosha (Andy) Holsted, Kota (Alisha) Patton, April Patton, Joseph (Nikki) Patton; 6 great-grandchildren Patton Garrett, Will and Claudia Gardner, Harper Patton, Asher Jones, Addilyn Holsted; brother Voy Baty; sisters Jo Chastain, Vivian Echols, Jerry Durham; also many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Friday, May 26, 2017 in the chapel with Rev. Philip Trask and Bro. A.C. Durham officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Thursday and 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM on Friday at the Ryan Funeral Home, Trenton, GA.
