Mary Jane Burris-Burgess-Brewster joyfully left this world to join her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 22, 2017.

She leaves behind her son Terry Burgess & wife Lois, daughter Colette Prigmore & husband Bill, daughter-in-law Billa Burgess, sister Nita Jean Smith, eight grandchildren (who lovingly called her Big Grandma) Shawn, Shannon (Shanny), April, Heather, Krystal, Sunny, Jennifer and many great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and many wonderful friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Z. B. Burris and Bonnie Lucille Lokey- Burris-Thomas, husband Bert Brewster, son Jack Burgess, brother Gail Richard Burris, and nephews Tommy Joe Evans, and Rickey Gene Evans.

She and Bert served four years in the Philippines as missionaries, and in past years taught Sunday School classes and had Bible studies in their home. She was active as treasurer in Women Aglow for many years and was an active member of Eastpointe Community Church.

Mary was a loving and faithful servant, teaching a Bible study every Sunday evening at Brookdale Assisted Living (formerly Sterling House) in Midwest City, and enjoyed her beautiful flowers.

A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday at 2:00 pm at Eastpointe Community Church, 6801 S. Anderson Rd., Oklahoma City, with private burial to be at a later date in Memorial Park Cemetery.
