1932 - 2017

Early Life: Maxine was born December 4, 1932, the oldest daughter of LaVell Alma and Vera Richins Croft. As a young girl, the family lived in several houses built by LaVell in Provo, Utah. They moved to State Street in Orem when Maxine was in junior high. She graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950, where she excelled in music (accordion) and art (painting). During this time, the family grew gladiolas commercially, and it was through these beautiful flowers that she met her future husband, Lewis F. Warren.
Life's Work/Service/Interests: They married November 8, 1952 and moved to Clearfield, Utah, where Lewis worked at Hill Air Force Base. It was there, during a revival meeting, Maxine was introduced to the one true gospel and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. David Lee and Roger LaVell were additions to the family during their time in Clearfield. The little family then moved back to Orem, where Lewis worked for US Steel, Geneva Works, Pipemills Division. Maxine enjoyed painting, playing the piano, baking, sewing, picnics, hamburgers, green beans, canning tomatoes, crossword puzzles, The Price is Right, card games, reusing Gold ‘n Soft margarine containers, clipping coupons and long-term freezer food storage. She loved her Lord, her husband, her family and her dogs. Maxine suffered a stroke in November 2016 and they left their home of 58 years and moved to Baker City, Oregon, to be near their daughter. Maxine continued to decline and in February 2017, was moved to Ashley Manor Assisted Living where she was given excellent care for the remainder of her life. Maxine was a long-time member of both the First Baptist Church in Provo, Utah, and the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Grove, Utah.
