Patsy “Patsy B” Bryant, 36 year resident of Irving, formerly of Jackson, Mississippi, died at age 82 in Irving on January 17, 2016. She started her life in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on April 15, 1933, where she was born to John and Lilla Ruth (Adams) Buchmann, JR. Patsy was well known in the Irving area as the owner of Patsy B’s Craft and Collectible Store and Haley House and is also remembered for the many local organizations that she gifted with her time and talent. She served as Chairman for the Heritage Society, President of the Downtown Association and sat on the Preservation and Redevelopment Board. Patsy is preceded in death by her parents and left to cherish her memory as a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother are daughter Susan Scott and husband Allen of Carrollton; son John Ledyard and wife Vicki; grandchildren Lauren Ball and husband J.J., Lisa Ledyard and partner Angela Carver, John Ledyard and wife Natalie, all of Fort Worth; Christopher Friedrich, and Jeremy Scott and wife Alyssa, both of Carrollton; great-grandchildren Brennan and Brooklyn Ball of Fort Worth and Jeremy Scott, JR of Carrollton along with many special friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 21, 2016 at the Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home between 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, January 22, 2016 in Brown’s Memorial Funeral Chapel with interment directly following at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Irving.
