Stratford-- Funeral services will be held at 2pm Saturday in Zion Lutheran Church for Henry Herman Aschbrenner, 76, Stratford, who died of complications Wednesay evening in St Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield. The Rev Carl Schulte will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

The body will repose at the Sauter Funeral home from Friday afternoon until 11am Saturday when it will be taken to the church.

Mr Aschbrenner was born Jan 21, 1884 in the town of Berlin [Marathon county, Wisconsin]. He was confirmed at St Peter's Lutheran Church there. In 1902 he came to Stratford with his parents. he operated a milk route here on the farm known as Clover Dairy until 1945. Since that time he and his wife resided at the home formerly owned by his parents in the village.

He married the former Emma Lillge, June 12, 1910, at Stratford. The Rev Carle Schmalz officiated.

He was a village board member for two terms.

Survivors are his wife: four daughters, Mrs Harry a Schultz, Wausau; Mrs Verna Aschebrook and Mrs Robert Multhup, both of Rothschild; Mrs Paul Lewis, St Clair Shores, Mich; eight grandchildren; five brothers, Fred, Wausau; Otto, route 4, town of Maine; Franke, town of Hamburg; Edward, Merced, Calif; Samuel, Stratford; and one sister, Mrs Fred Poeske, Kerrville, Texas. One sister, Mrs Herman Radant, preceded him in death.
