Requiem high mass for Frances Mary Cronin was celebrated Tuesday morning at St. Matthew's Catholic Church with Father James J. Sheerin as celebrant.
Rosary for Mrs. Cronin was recited Monday evening in the Waggener and Campbell Chapel. Burial followed services Tuesday morning at the Conrad Memorial Cemetery with A. A. O'Claire, Edmund Allers, Glenn Johnston, Tim Sullivan, William Byrne, and Dave Bright acting as pallbearers.
Frances Mary Cronin was born to Mr. and Mrs. Gustav Wendt at their homestead in the Deer Park community on Dec. 27, 1891.
She spent her girlhood at the farm home and received her early education at Deer Park School. Later she was graduated from the Kalispell Business College after which she was employed as a bookkeeper at the Lew Switzer Furniture Store. Later she moved to Wallace, Idaho where she was employed in government work. She met Thomas J. Cronin there and following World War I they were united in marriage Oct. 1, 1919. Following their marriage they moved to Missoula where they made their home until Mr. Cronin died Dec. 10, 1935.
Following the death of her husband she moved to the East Lake Shore of Flathead Lake where she developed a cherry orchard and established a vacation camp which she operated as the Cronin Log Cabins. After selling the orchard she moved Columbia Falls where she spent two years helping care for her aged parents.
Surviving are her three brothers, Otto of Whitefish, Oscar and George of Columbia Falls; four sisters, Mrs. Anna Clarke of Kalispell; Mrs. Pauline Lindquist of Cheney, Wash.; Mrs. Amanda Brocken of Columbia Falls; Mrs. Florence Grand of Sexsmith, Alberta, Canada; 27 nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives.
